World in War 1.1 released

We are proud to announce that World in War version 1.1 has been released on the App Store, it contains bug fixes and fixes to balancing issues. Stay tuned for more stuff happening but for now lets have a look at our change log.

Game changes:
- Fixed crash bug related to moving armies into no-mans-land
- Added Achievements!
– 20 Achievements accessed through OpenFeint
- Several campaign map balance changes to adjust game difficulty
- Reworked how battles work:
– Units will now always first attack the unit type they counter (Infantry attack Artillery, Tanks attack Infantry, Artillery attack Tanks)
– Unit damage spans has been increased (units deal more maximum damage and less minimum damage) to provide more dynamic battles
— Infantry now deal: 2-16, 2-12, 2-24 % damage of total hitpoints against Infantry, Tanks, Artillery (changed from: 8-12, 8-12, 8-12)
— Artillery now deal: 12-108, 2-16, 16-72 % damage of total hitpoints against Infantry, Tanks, Artillery (changed from: 48-72, 8-12, 64-96)
— Tanks now deal: 4-32 18-108, 2-16 % damage of total hitpoints against Infantry, Tanks, Artillery (changed from: 16-24, 72-108, 8-12)
- Corrected terrain images on several region info screens
- Minor adjustments to army and card positions to better fit in regions
- Fixed dialog bug showing wrong characters speaking
- Cleaned up the menu GUI to display correct buttons everywhere
- Now displaying correctly in AppStore that the game is available in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish
- Added warning message when not connected to internet and accessing multiplayer
- Removed extra spaces connected to German letters ö, ü and ä

  • Update: The bug has been located and will be fixed in an update together with several other smaller fixes, already submitted and we are waiting for the approval from Apple.

    Mission (Afrika) the Game crashes to Homescreen
